MD, CMO, Founder
Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he is the inaugural BJC HealthCare Distinguished Professor of Emergency Medicine.
George Shaw
MD, PhD, CTO, Founder
Responsible for the technical and scientific development of Sense device, Dr. Shaw shares a unique vision of improving care for emergency medicine patients. He provides the clinical structure and the highest standards for experiment methodology and data analysis.
Matthew Flaherty
MD, Founder
Neurologist at the University of Cincinnati Neuroscience Institute, a member of the UC Stroke Team, and a professor of Neurology at the UC College of Medicine with an emphasis upon stroke care.
Joe Korfhagen
Sr. Vice President of Product Development
As Director of R&D, Joe focuses on developing the Sense device and enhancing the technology driving the product. Joe’s career goal is to create medical devices that will improve the standard of care for patients suffering from neurological disease.
Eric Bailey
Chief Strategic Officer
Experienced CEO in neurological device startups. Eric has multiple awards for his work in the medical imaging device field. He advises on regulatory and commercial planning.
Paul Gaitan
CFO
Paul Gaitan is a seasoned CFO with experience most recently with Haag-Streit USA and Workhorse Group. Paul earned his BS degree in business from the University of Southern California and his MBA from Stanford University with a concentration in production control systems.
Sara Keegan
Director of Clinical Operations
As Director of Clinical Operations, Sara oversees pivotal trials across multiple sites for the devices Sense is developing. Sara brings 18 years of clinical research experience managing multi-center, national trials. She holds BAs in Biology and Psychology and an MEd in Health Promotion and Education.
Brent Madigan
Vice President of Sales
Brent Madigan brings over a decade of experience in emergency care and pre-hospital medicine, with deep expertise across EMS and Fire, federal and military systems, and national distribution channels. During his 13-year career at Philips, he held senior commercial leadership roles supporting the growth and adoption of complex emergency care technologies. Brent’s experience strengthens Sense Neuro Diagnostics’ U.S. commercial strategy as the company prepares for launch and scale.

Carol Warner is a finance professional with significant experience in the Dayton region start-up community, including investments of the Dayton Development Coalition sponsored venture funds. Her career included over 20 years with AT&T and its subsidiaries.
